Top ranked Atomeromu (9-3) recorded its third loss in Zalaegerszeg. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked ZTE KK (8-4) 83-69. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Atomeromu. ZTE KK forced 20 Atomeromu turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a good game for American point guard James Kinney (187-90, college: San Jose St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 assists and 4 steals. Serbian power forward Djordje Pantelic (204-84, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. Four ZTE KK players scored in double figures. American point guard Christopher Dunn (189-83, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Inception Sports) replied with 21 points and 4 assists and international power forward Janos Eilingsfeld (198-91) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Atomeromu. ZTE KK moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Alba. Atomeromu at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with Kormend and Szolnok. ZTE KK will play against Marso NYKK (#12) in Nyiregyhazi in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Atomeromu will play at home against MAFC (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
