Very important is a road loss of third ranked MBA-2 (11-7) against fourth ranked Neftyanik (10-6) on Saturday night. Visiting MBA-2 was crushed by Neftyanik in Omsk 98-70. They made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game, while MBA-2 only scored eight points from the stripe. Neftyanik forced 26 MBA-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 33-16 including 16 on the offensive glass. Guard Darya Filimonova (178-93) notched 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and forward Elena Fedotova (186-90) supported her with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Neftyanik players scored in double figures. Even 15 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by center Nina Glonti (188-97) did not help to save the game for MBA-2. Anastasia Borovykh (176-96) added 10 points for lost side. MBA-2's coach Alexander Mikhaylyuk gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Neftyanik have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 10-6 record. Newly promoted MBA-2 keeps the third place with seven games lost. Neftyanik will meet at home Stavropol (#8) in the next round. MBA-2 will play against the league's second-placed Dynamo-2 K. (#2) in Kursk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
