Regular Season Round 12: Marso NYKK - Alba 87-97
Date: December 19, 2015
There was no surprise in Nyiregyhazi where 12th ranked Marso NYKK (3-9) was defeated by fifth ranked Alba (8-4) 97-87. The game was mostly controlled by Alba. Marso NYKK was better in third quarter 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 26 personal fouls committed by Marso NYKK helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) who scored that evening 26 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Tristan Spurlock (203-91, college: Cent.Florida) supported him with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Even a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds by American guard Malcolm Miller (198-91, college: Southern, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) did not help to save the game for Marso NYKK. Serbian power forward Zoran Krstanovic (204-82, agency: HMS) added 22 points. Five Alba and four Marso NYKK players scored in double figures. Marso NYKK's coach Erno Sitku rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alba moved-up to fourth place, which they share with ZTE KK. Marso NYKK lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. Alba's next round opponent will be Szedeak (#10) in Szeged where they are favorite. Marso NYKK will play at home against ZTE KK and hope to win that game.
