Regular Season Round 12: Sopron KC - MAFC 91-87

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Sopron KC (7-5) defeated at home 12th ranked MAFC (3-9) 91-87. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But MAFC won third quarter 26-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sopron KC shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. The winners were led by Bosnian power forward Edin Bavcic (209-84, agency: Beo Basket) who scored that evening 15 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian guard Damir Rancic (199-83, agency: XL Basketball Agency) supported him with 17 points. Even 27 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals by American point guard Deville Smith (183-91, college: Tenn-Martin) did not help to save the game for MAFC. Indian-Canadian forward Robbie Sihota (201-87) added 18 points and 9 rebounds. Five Sopron KC and four MAFC players scored in double figures. Sopron KC moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Falco KC. MAFC at the other side keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. Sopron KC's next round opponent will be Kaposvari (#11) at home where they are favorite. MAFC will play against the league's leader Atomeromu in Paks and hope to win that game.
