Rather expected game when 10th ranked Sojuz Zaretchny (5-15) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Jaroslav (8-12) 85-76 on Sunday. Jaroslav dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sojuz Zaretchny's 32. They outrebounded Sojuz Zaretchny 36-19 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Jaroslav looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Point guard Igor Sukhinin (188-81) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points, 9 rebounds and 16 assists for the winners. Forward Alexander Fomin (206-86, agency: Interperformances) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Igor Ermakov (199-94) produced 20 points and guard Aleksey Tochilkin (198-94) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Jaroslav and five Sojuz Zaretchny players scored in double figures. Jaroslav have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Jaroslav maintains seventh position with 8-12 record. Sojuz Zaretchny lost ninth consecutive game. Sojuz Zaretchny at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth place with 15 games lost. Jaroslav will meet at home league's second-placed AltajBasket in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
