No shocking result in a game when third ranked Rusichi K. (10-4) beat 6th ranked Elbrus Cherk. (5-9) in Kursk 87-82. Rusichi K. forced 34 Elbrus Cherk. turnovers. Strangely Elbrus Cherk. outrebounded Rusichi K. 54-33 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Rusichi K. brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was forward Anton Belov (202-81) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 blocks. Guard Nikolay Zavyalov (188-91) chipped in 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Elbrus Cherk. will play on the road against Sogdiana-Skif (#7) in Voronezh and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
