Leader Sakhalin delivered the eleventh victory. This time they crushed 12th ranked Irkut Irkutsk (2-9) 84-61. Sakhalin dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Irkut Irkutsk's 18. They outrebounded Irkut Irkutsk 42-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. International Aleksandr Gudumak (203-93, agency: Alti Sport) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 7 rebounds. The former international swingman Andrei Ivanov (197-84, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four Sakhalin players scored in double figures. Pavel Gromyko (197-89) replied with 11 points and 4 assists and power forward Andrey Chernysh (212-90) added 14 points in the effort for Irkut Irkutsk. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sakhalin (11-1) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Newly promoted Sakhalin maintains first position. Irkut Irkutsk lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
