Important game to mention about took place in Voronezh. Sixth ranked Sogdiana-Skif (7-9) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Elbrus Cherk. (5-11) 86-85 in the fight for the sixth place. The winners were led by guard Aleksey Almushev (198-90) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Dmitriy Prikhodko (185-92) supported him with 15 points and 6 assists. Sogdiana-Skif's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds by swingman Roman Bazhunaishvili (199-90) did not help to save the game for Elbrus Cherk.. Center Pavel Dushenkov (206-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Sogdiana-Skif maintains sixth position with 7-9 record. Elbrus Cherk. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 11 games lost. Sogdiana-Skif will play against bottom-ranked Tegas DR (#9) in Dinskoy Rayon in the next round. Elbrus Cherk. will play at home against the league's leader Dynamo-MGTU and hopes to get back on the winning track.
