The game in Budapest supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked PEAC-Pecs (7-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Vasas Akademia (1-10). PEAC-Pecs smashed Vasas Akademia 70-49. It looked good early as Vasas Akademia took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then PEAC-Pecs had a 17-8 second period charge getting the lead and Vasas Akademia was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 49-70. PEAC-Pecs dominated on the defensive end, holding Vasas Akademia to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Vasas Akademia's 30. PEAC-Pecs forced 23 Vasas Akademia turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian-Bosnian center Dragana Stankovic (195-95, agency: IPSA) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. American power forward Destiny Williams (185-91, college: Baylor) accounted for 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Lilla Adamecz (182-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and Polish guard Katarzyna Cymmer (172-89) added 1 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Vasas Akademia in the defeat. Vasas Akademia's coach Gabor Halmai gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. PEAC-Pecs moved-up to fifth place, which they share with PINKK-Pecsi. Vasas Akademia lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with ZTE NKK and ELTE-BEAC. PEAC-Pecs will play against higher ranked Cegledi EKK (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vasas Akademia will play against ZTE NKK (#10) in Zalaegerszeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
