Very expected game when 10th ranked Szedeak (5-8) was smashed by fifth ranked Alba (9-4) in Szekesfehervar 107-74. The game without a history. Alba led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 62.1 percent from the field. Alba outrebounded Szedeak 36-21 including 24 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. Alba players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Szedeak was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Tristan Spurlock (203-91, college: Cent.Florida) stepped up and scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Canadian point guard Kenny Chery (180-92, college: Baylor) chipped in 22 points. Alba's coach Branislav Dzunic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (198-80) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian-Bosnian power forward Jozo Brkic (211-86, agency: PEPI SPORT) scored 13 points. Five Alba and four Szedeak players scored in double figures. Alba have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kormend and ZTE KK. Szedeak at the other side dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Kaposvari and KTE-Duna Aszfalt. Alba will play against ZTE KK (#3) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Szedeak will play on the road against Kormend (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
