Regular Season Round 11: UNI Gyor - ZTE NKK 72-46

Date: January 9, 2016
Very predictable result when second ranked UNI Gyor (9-2) smashed at home bottom-ranked ZTE NKK (1-10) 72-46. The game without a history. UNI Gyor led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. UNI Gyor outrebounded ZTE NKK 44-24 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian point guard Tamara Radocaj (170-87, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Cyesha Goree (190-93, college: Michigan, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Four UNI Gyor players scored in double figures. International point guard Dora Nagy (170-95) came up with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Judit Szelesy (184-78) added 6 points and 7 rebounds respectively for ZTE NKK in the defeat. ZTE NKK's coach Tamas Gall already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for UNI Gyor. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with UNIQA Eurol. ZTE NKK lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom place with ten games lost. They share the position with ELTE-BEAC and Vasas Akademia. UNI Gyor will play against Atomeromu (#7) in Szekszard in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. ZTE NKK will play at home against Vasas Akademia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
