Very expected game when 9th ranked Energy Ivanovo (2-10) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Vologda-Chevakata (9-3) 82-77. Vologda-Chevakata made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American guard Britney Jones (172-87, college: UAB) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds. Center Ksenia Kuzmina (198-95, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) for the winners. Center Olga Zhuzhgova (204-88) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and forward Tatiana Grigoryeva (178-90, agency: IPSA) added 25 points in the effort for Energy Ivanovo. Four Energy Ivanovo players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Vologda-Chevakata. They maintain fourth place with 9-3 record. Energy Ivanovo lost their seventh game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Vologda-Chevakata will play against Spartak Vidnoye (#5) on the road in the next round. Energy Ivanovo will play against Dynamo Kursk (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
