Undefeated leader UMMC Ekaterinburg delivered the thirteenth consecutive win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked MBA (5-8) 101-52. UMMC Ekaterinburg dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to MBA's 16. They outrebounded MBA 59-21 including a 25-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. UMMC Ekaterinburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Vincentian-Spanish center Sancho Lyttle (193-83, college: Houston) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. International center Natalia Vieru (196-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four UMMC Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures. The former international Anastasiya Loginova (190-90) produced 13 points and Olga Aksenova (187-96) added 3 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMMC Ekaterinburg (13-0) have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 13 victories in a row. MBA lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. UMMC Ekaterinburg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. MBA will play at home against Dyn.-GUVD (#11) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
