Regular Season Round 13: Dynamo M. - Sparta&K MR 44-91
Date: January 11, 2016
There was no surprise when 12th ranked Dynamo Moscow (1-11) was crushed at home by fifth ranked Spartak Vidnoye (9-4) 91-44. Spartak Vidnoye dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo Moscow's 30 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Dynamo Moscow 48-25 including a 37-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Belgian center Emma Meesseman (192-93, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). International center Maria Vadeeva (193-98) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. International power forward Ksenia Tikhonenko (192-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Olga Sizyakova (187-88) added 8 points in the effort for Dynamo Moscow. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Spartak Vidnoye. They maintain fifth place with 9-4 record. Dynamo Moscow lost their seventh game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Spartak Vidnoye will play against higher ranked Vologda-Chevakata (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dynamo Moscow will play against the league's second-placed Nadezhda Orenburg (#2) to get more than just one victory in their record.
