Very important is a home loss of third ranked Rusichi K. (11-7) against fourth ranked Kirov (10-8) on Tuesday night. Host Rusichi K. was crushed by Kirov in Kursk 110-86. Kirov dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Rusichi K.'s 36 and made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Kirov forced 25 Rusichi K. turnovers and outrebounded them 51-25 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Rusichi K. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Kirov have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Kirov maintains fourth place with 10-8 record. Rusichi K. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the third position with seven games lost. Kirov's next round opponent will be Sogdiana-Skif (#6) in Voronezh. Rusichi K. will play at home against Tegas DR and hope to win that game.
