Very important is a home loss of second ranked Neftekhimik T. (13-5) against fifth ranked Stary Sobol NT (9-9) on Wednesday night. Host Neftekhimik T. was crushed by Stary Sobol NT in Tobolsk 87-66. Stary Sobol NT dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Neftekhimik T.'s 34. They outrebounded Neftekhimik T. 43-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Forward Ilya Aginskikh (203-94) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and center Aleksandr Vertelov (205-91) accounted for 21 points and 8 rebounds. Ilya Kulakov came up with 14 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Andrey Pavlov (191-86) added 13 points respectively for Neftekhimik T. in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neftekhimik T.'s coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Stary Sobol NT maintains fifth place with 9-9 record, which they share with Sogdiana-Skif. Loser Neftekhimik T. keeps the second position with five games lost. Stary Sobol NT will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Neftekhimik T. will play against Magnitka-Univ. and hope to secure a win.
