Regular Season Round 25: Dynamo-2 K. - Ladoga SP 92-42

Superleague top team - Dynamo-2 K. (17-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Ladoga SP (3-18) in Kursk 92-42. Dynamo-2 K. forced 23 Ladoga SP turnovers and outrebounded them 41-28 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dynamo-2 K. shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 63.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Ladoga SP's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Center Anna Shchetina (195-90) stepped up and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and forward Olga Frolkina (183-97) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Dynamo-2 K.'s coach Elena Shakirova felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Ekaterina Zhibareva responded with 10 points and 7 rebounds and forward Ekaterina Posylkina (183-93) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Dynamo-2 K.. They maintain first place with 17-4 record. Ladoga SP lost their ninth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Dynamo-2 K. will again play against bottom-ranked Ladoga SP (#10) in St.Petersburg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ladoga SP will have a break next round.
