The most shocking disappointment of round 26 in the Superleague was a home defeat of 5th ranked UMMC Junior (12-10) to eighth ranked Stavropol (8-14) 67-61. Power forward Natalja Gvozdeva (191-77) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Irina Alekhina (182-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Elizaveta Komarova (172-95, agency: LBM Management) responded with 10 points and 7 rebounds and forward Anastasia Tochilova (174-93) scored 14 points. Four UMMC Junior players scored in double figures. UMMC Junior's coach Denis Sevastianov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Stavropol maintains eighth position with 8-14 record. UMMC Junior at the other side keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. Stavropol are looking forward to face league's leader Dynamo-2 K. in Kursk in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. UMMC Junior will have a break next round.
