Rather expected game when 6th ranked MBA-2 (11-11) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Voronezh-SKIF (13-9) 67-63 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was center Yuliya Garkavskaya (203-91) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Ekaterina Nechepaeva (182-88) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Center Nina Glonti (188-97) produced 11 points and 6 rebounds and FYR Macedonian Aleksandra Ivanova (180-93) added 4 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. MBA-2's coach Alexander Mikhaylyuk tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Voronezh-SKIF have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 13-9 record. MBA-2 lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. Voronezh-SKIF will meet BC Rostov (#7) on the road in the next round. MBA-2 will play against Sparta&K-2 V and hope to secure a win.
