Regular Season Round 12: PEAC-Pecs - Cegledi EKK 87-74

The most important game in the last round took place in Pecs between third ranked Cegledi EKK (7-4) and sixth ranked PEAC-Pecs (8-4) on Sunday night. Cegledi EKK was defeated by PEAC-Pecs on the road 87-74. The game was mostly controlled by PEAC-Pecs. Cegledi EKK managed to win third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. PEAC-Pecs dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Cegledi EKK's 42. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian Maja Skoric (185-89, agency: IPSA) who recorded 20 points and 5 assists and Serbian center Jelena Maksimovic (192-82, agency: IPSA) added 15 points respectively. Five PEAC-Pecs and four Cegledi EKK players scored in double figures. PEAC-Pecs moved-up to fourth place. Cegledi EKK at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. PEAC-Pecs are looking forward to face bottom-ranked BEAC-Ujbuda (#10) in Budapest in the next round where they are favorite. Cegledi EKK will play at home against Miskolc (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
