The game in Vidnoye was quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Vologda-Chevakata (9-4) played at the court of fifth ranked Spartak Vidnoye (10-4). Spartak Vidnoye defeated Vologda-Chevakata 77-66 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Vologda-Chevakata. Spartak Vidnoye dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Vologda-Chevakata's 34. They outrebounded Vologda-Chevakata 41-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Belgian center Emma Meesseman (192-93, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. International center Maria Vadeeva (193-98) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Four Spartak Vidnoye players scored in double figures. Spartak Vidnoye's coach Alexandr Vasin used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Britney Jones (172-87, college: UAB) replied with 21 points and the former international guard Elena Volkova (175-83) added 17 points in the effort for Vologda-Chevakata. Spartak Vidnoye have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Vologda-Chevakata at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Spartak Vidnoye are looking forward to face higher ranked Dynamo Kursk (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Vologda-Chevakata will play against the league's second-placed Nadezhda Orenburg and is hoping to win this game.
