Rather expected game when 8th ranked ZTE NKK (2-11) was smashed on the road by sixth ranked Cegledi EKK (8-5) 76-57 on Saturday. The game without a history. Cegledi EKK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Cegledi EKK outrebounded ZTE NKK 38-25 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Serbian Maja Skoric (185-89, agency: IPSA) nailed 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and guard Dora Medgyessy (174-86) accounted for 14 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Four Cegledi EKK players scored in double figures. Cegledi EKK's coach Laszlo Cziczas used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. International point guard Dora Nagy (170-95) came up with 18 points and forward Judit Szelesy (184-78) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for ZTE NKK in the defeat. Cegledi EKK moved-up to fifth place, which they share with PINKK-Pecsi. Loser ZTE NKK keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Cegledi EKK will meet Atomeromu (#7) in the next round. ZTE NKK will play against BEAC-Ujbuda and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
