Regular Season Round 15: Dynamo M. - MBA 79-84

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Moscow: MBA (#7) and Dynamo Moscow (#12). Dynamo Moscow was defeated at home 79-84 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. MBA made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 27 Dynamo Moscow turnovers. Strangely Dynamo Moscow outrebounded MBA 49-35 including 19 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for Anna Leshovceva (181-87) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Ekaterina Sytnyak (185-82, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The best for the losing side was international power forward Ksenia Tikhonenko (192-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds and the former international Ekaterina Fedorenkova (178-93) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Dynamo Moscow players scored in double figures. Dynamo Moscow's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted MBA maintains seventh place with 7-8 record. Dynamo Moscow lost their ninth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. MBA will face higher ranked Vologda-Chevakata (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dynamo Moscow will play against Dyn.-GUVD (#11) in Novosibirsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
