The game between third ranked Dynamo Kursk (11-3) and fourth ranked Spartak Vidnoye (11-4) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Dynamo Kursk was defeated by Spartak Vidnoye in Vidnoye 90-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Dynamo Kursk. It was a great shooting night for Spartak Vidnoye especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for international center Maria Vadeeva (193-98) who led her team to a victory scoring 27 points and 7 rebounds. Belgian center Emma Meesseman (192-93, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was Nigerian-American power forward Nnemkadi Ogwumike (189-90, college: Stanford) with 27 points and 9 rebounds and the former international power forward Tatiana Vidmer (191-86) scored 21 points. Spartak Vidnoye have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 11-4 record. Dynamo Kursk at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Spartak Vidnoye are looking forward to face Kazanochka (#8) on the road in the next round. Dynamo Kursk will play against the league's second-placed Nadezhda Orenburg (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
