Regular Season Round 27: Rostov - Voronezh 72-56

The game with biggest difference of round 27 in Superleague was host BC Rostov's (#7) easy victory at home over 4th placed Voronezh-SKIF (13-10) 72-56 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Voronezh-SKIF. BC Rostov dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Voronezh-SKIF's 36. BC Rostov forced 27 Voronezh-SKIF turnovers. The best player for the winners was power forward Jane Elizabet Morozova (187-97) who scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Milana Sumets (185-88, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. BC Rostov's coach Andrei Babitchev used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was center Yuliya Garkavskaya (203-91) who recorded 19 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Ekaterina Nechepaeva (182-88) added 12 points respectively. BC Rostov maintains seventh place with 10-13 record. Voronezh-SKIF at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. BC Rostov is again looking forward to face higher ranked Voronezh-SKIF (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Voronezh-SKIF will have a break next round.
