No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked MBA-2 (13-11) beat 9th ranked Sparta&K-2 V (4-16) in Moscow 71-54. MBA-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Sparta&K-2 V's 22. MBA-2 forced 21 Sparta&K-2 V turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Svetlana Gorshkova (176-97) who helped to win the game recording 10 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 8 steals and point guard Diana Kazhlaeva (170-99) who added 8 points and 4 assists during the contest. MBA-2's coach Alexander Mikhaylyuk allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side forward Adelina Abayburova (186-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and forward Daria Kurilchuk (179-98) scored 14 points. MBA-2 moved-up to fifth place. Sparta&K-2 V lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. MBA-2 will play against league's second-placed Samara at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sparta&K-2 V will play against Ladoga SP (#10) in St.Petersburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
