No shocking result in a game when third ranked Spartak St.Petersburg (17-9) defeated at home 9th ranked Arsenal (9-17) 80-73 on Wednesday. Spartak St.Petersburg made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Spartak St.Petersburg had a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Andrey Semenov (201-90, college: JMU) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds and guard Alexander Matveev (194-91) who added 17 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Mikhail Yudov (198-89) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Roman Korchaga (190-92, agency: Interperformances) scored 12 points. Five Spartak St.Petersburg and four Arsenal players scored in double figures. Arsenal's coach Viktor Uskov tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
