The game in Moscow supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Samara (18-4) played at the court of 5th ranked MBA-2 (13-13). Samara smashed MBA-2 77-54 on Saturday. Samara forced 25 MBA-2 turnovers. Forward Olga Ovcharenko (185-79) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Evgenija Kozhevnikova (182-81) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Yulia Kozik (176-97) with 13 points and center Nina Glonti (188-97) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Samara have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 18-4 record having six points less than leader Dynamo-2 K. Newly promoted MBA-2 keeps the fifth place with 13 games lost. Samara will meet at home BC Rostov (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. MBA-2 will have a break next round.
