The game in Kazan supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Spartak Vidnoye (12-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Kazanochka (4-12). Spartak Vidnoye did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 66-46. Spartak Vidnoye forced 20 Kazanochka turnovers and outrebounded them 34-23 including 22 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by international center Maria Vadeeva (193-98) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds and Belgian center Emma Meesseman (192-93, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 24 points and 5 steals. Spartak Vidnoye's coach Alexandr Vasin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 14 points and 7 rebounds by American power forward Sarah Boothe (195-90, college: Stanford) did not help to save the game for Kazanochka. Point guard Viktoriya Plohih (165-92) added 15 points for lost side. Spartak Vidnoye have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Kazanochka dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Spartak Vidnoye's next round opponent will be Spartak Noginsk (#8) on the road where they are favorite. Kazanochka will play against the league's second-placed Nadezhda Orenburg and hope to win that game.
