The game in Moscow was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Vologda-Chevakata (10-5) played at the court of 7th ranked MBA (7-9). Vologda-Chevakata managed to secure a 6-point victory 76-70 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of MBA. Vologda-Chevakata made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Britney Jones (172-87, college: UAB) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Latvian center Anete Steinberga (190-90, college: UTEP, agency: LBM Management) who added 18 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Anna Leshovceva (181-87) responded with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of her seven free throws) and point guard Maria Toropova (167-87) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four MBA players scored in double figures. Vologda-Chevakata maintains fifth position with 10-5 record. Newly promoted MBA keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Vologda-Chevakata will meet at home Dyn.-GUVD (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. MBA will play against Dynamo Kursk and hope to secure a win.
