Regular Season Round 19: Sakhalin - Parma 80-67

Superleague 1 top team - Sakhalin (14-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Parma (8-8) in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk 80-67. Parma was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a quality performance for the former international swingman Andrei Ivanov (197-84, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. International Aleksandr Gudumak (203-93, agency: Alti Sport) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four Sakhalin players scored in double figures. Center Aleksandr Vinnik (213-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) came up with 13 points and 6 rebounds and guard Sergey Chernov (186-86) added 13 points respectively for Parma in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sakhalin have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Sakhalin maintains first place with 14-2 record. Parma lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Sakhalin will play against Ryazan (#5) at home in the next round. Parma will play against Universitet-Yugra in Surgut and hopes to get back on the winning track.
