Regular Season Round 32: Dynamo-2 K. - UMMC Junior 80-49

Superleague top team - Dynamo-2 K. (22-6) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked UMMC Junior (12-12) in Kursk 80-49. Dynamo-2 K. held UMMC Junior to an opponent 20.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 49.1 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded UMMC Junior 41-27 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dynamo-2 K. brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. UMMC Junior was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by point guard Anna Burovaya (172-97) who scored that evening 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and center Elizaveta Shabanova (195-97) supported her with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. Even 12 points by swingman Sabina Abaidullina (181-97) did not help to save the game for UMMC Junior. Point guard Viktoriia Zavialova (166-98) added 10 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dynamo-2 K. maintains first position with 22-6 record. UMMC Junior lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 12 games lost. Dynamo-2 K. will play against Neftyanik (#4) in Omsk in the next round. UMMC Junior will play on the road against Voronezh-SKIF and hopes to get back on the winning track.
