There was no surprise when 9th ranked Arsenal (10-20) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Cheliabinsk (13-14) 80-69. The winners were led by guard Evgeniy Dedovets (197-90) who scored that evening 16 points and Dmitriy Sudarev supported him with 9 points and 9 assists. Even 22 points by forward Ivan Feshchenko (201-91, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) did not help to save the game for Arsenal. Guard Nikolay Shangichev (187-86) added 17 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the guests. Newly promoted Cheliabinsk maintains seventh position with 13-14 record. Arsenal lost seventh consecutive game. Arsenal at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth place with 20 games lost. Cheliabinsk's next round opponent will be Dynamo-CBK (#10) in Stavropol. Arsenal will play on the road against AltajBasket in Barnau and hope to win that game.
