Regular Season Round 32: Cheboksari - Spartak SP 65-68

The most exciting game of round 32 in the Superleague 2 took place in Cheboksari. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th ranked Cheboksari (17-11) to second ranked Spartak St.Petersburg (20-10) 68-65 on Wednesday evening. The best player for the winners was forward Mikhail Yudov (198-89) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Andrey Semenov (201-90, college: JMU) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Anton Bogdan (198-86) produced 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Evgeniy Bogdan (200-88) added 20 points respectively for the hosts. Spartak St.Petersburg have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 20-10 record having three points less than leader Ruskon-Mord. Cheboksari lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. Spartak St.Petersburg are looking forward to face league's leader Ruskon-Mordovia in Saransk in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cheboksari will play at home against Jaroslav and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
