Regular Season Round 18: Szedeak - Atomeromu 71-90

Date: February 10, 2016
No shocking result in a game in Szeged where second ranked Atomeromu (14-4) smashed 11th ranked Szedeak (6-12) 90-71. The game without a history. Atomeromu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Atomeromu outrebounded Szedeak 36-19 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Atomeromu especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. American forward Troy Barnies (200-89, college: Maine) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Donald Robinson (193-89, college: W.Virginia Tech, agency: HMS) supported him with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 27 points and 4 assists by Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (198-80) did not help to save the game for Szedeak. American guard Chip Armelin (193-90, college: S.Mississippi) added 13 points. Five Atomeromu and four Szedeak players scored in double figures. Atomeromu keeps a position of league leader. Szedeak lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Atomeromu's next round opponent will be Kormend (#5) on the road. Szedeak will play against Marso NYKK (#13) in Nyiregyhazi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
