Regular Season Round 22: Sogdiana-Skif - Rusichi K. 95-86

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Rusichi K. (15-11) against fourth ranked Sogdiana-Skif (15-11) on Friday night. Visiting Rusichi K. was defeated by Sogdiana-Skif in a tough game in Voronezh 86-95. Sogdiana-Skif forced 21 Rusichi K. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Guard Aleksey Almushev (198-90) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Alexandr Demyakhov (195-94) supported him with 17 points. Four Sogdiana-Skif players scored in double figures. Even 46 points (!!!) by guard Kazulin Roman (187-94) did not help to save the game for Rusichi K.. Guard Nikolay Zavyalov (188-91) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sogdiana-Skif have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Rusichi K. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
