Regular Season Round 16: Cegledi EKK - UNI Gyor 68-78

An interesting game for UNI Gyor (12-4) which played road game in Cegled against 4th ranked Cegledi EKK (10-6). Second ranked UNI Gyor managed to get a 10-point victory 78-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cegledi EKK. 25 personal fouls committed by Cegledi EKK helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Cyesha Goree (190-93, college: Michigan, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Serbian point guard Tamara Radocaj (170-87, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four UNI Gyor players scored in double figures. Serbian Maja Skoric (185-89, agency: IPSA) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Szidonia Katona (180-93) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Cegledi EKK. Cegledi EKK's coach Laszlo Cziczas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. UNI Gyor maintains second position with 12-4 record behind leader UNIQA Eurol. Cegledi EKK at the other side dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with PINKK-Pecsi. UNI Gyor are looking forward to face league's leader MKB Euroleasing in Sopron in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cegledi EKK will play at home against PINKK-Pecsi (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
