Regular Season Round 34: Dynamo-2 K. - Neftyanik 71-68

Fourth-ranked Neftyanik (15-11) was very close to win a game against first ranked Dynamo-2 K. (24-6) in Kursk on Saturday. Dynamo-2 K. managed to secure only three-point victory 71-68. However their fans expected easier game. Dynamo-2 K. forced 22 Neftyanik turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Anna Burovaya (172-97) who helped to win the game recording 16 points. Center Anna Shchetina (195-90) contributed with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Dynamo-2 K.'s coach Elena Shakirova used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Elena Fedotova (186-90) replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Lyubov Turchenyuk (182-94) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Neftyanik. Dynamo-2 K. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-6 record. Neftyanik at the other side keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. Dynamo-2 K. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Neftyanik will play at home against the league's second-placed Samara (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
