No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Aarau (8-6) crushed at home 7th ranked Winterthur (3-11) 77-58 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Aarau. Winterthur managed to win fourth quarter 24-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aarau looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Winterthur's players. Montenegrin guard Snezana Aleksic (173-89) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists to lead the effort and the former international guard Karen Twehues (182-83, college: Cincinnati) supported her with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Aarau players scored in double figures. Aarau's coach Milenko Tomic used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 27 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Nikki Dixon (178-93, college: Clemson) did not help to save the game for Winterthur. Her fellow American import guard Heidi Anton (175-90, college: USF) added 9 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the guests. Aarau moved-up to third place, which they share with Riva. Winterthur at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost.
