Bottom-ranked Sojuz Zaretchny managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the series of seventeen consecutive losses on Saturday night. This time newly promoted Sojuz Zaretchny won against fifth-ranked Stroitiel Engels 79-70. Forward Andrey Piterov (200-94) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Vladimir Chichaykin (187-91) accounted for 23 points. Four Sojuz Zaretchny players scored in double figures. Swingman Vladislav Lotarev (191-88) came up with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Nikita Zverev (207-94) added 19 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Stroitiel Engels in the defeat. Newly promoted Sojuz Zaretchny maintains eleventh place with 6-23 record. Stroitiel Engels at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the fifth position with 16 games lost. Sojuz Zaretchny will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Stroitiel Engels will play again against Sojuz Zaretchny (#11) and hope to secure a win.
