Regular Season Round 19: Marso NYKK - Szedeak 75-70

Date: February 13, 2016
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Nyiregyhazi where twelfth ranked Marso NYKK (4-15) beat 11th ranked Szedeak (6-14) 75-70. It looked good early as Szedeak took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Marso NYKK had a 22-12 second period charge getting the lead and Szedeak was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-75. Marso NYKK forced 27 Szedeak turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian power forward Zoran Krstanovic (204-82, agency: HMS) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American guard Tate Unruh (193-90, college: N.Colorado, agency: Inception Sports) accounted for 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead, agency: HMS) came up with 25 points and 7 rebounds and the former international swingman Andras Molnar (193-83, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Szedeak in the defeat. Four Szedeak players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Marso NYKK went down to thirteenth position due to points difference. Szedeak lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 14 games lost. Marso NYKK's next round opponent will be higher ranked Kormend (#5) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
