Regular Season Round 23: Univ.Surgut - Ryazan 73-77

The game between third ranked Universitet-Yugra (12-7) and sixth ranked Ryazan (12-8) was the most important one in the last round on Tuesday night. Universitet-Yugra was defeated by Ryazan in a tough game in Surgut 73-77. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Universitet-Yugra. The best player for the winners was guard Iliya Syrovatko (193-88) who scored 19 points. Guard Dramir Zibirov (187-86) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: BeoExcell) produced 29 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Alexander Savenkov (205-82) added 6 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Ryazan moved-up to fifth place. Universitet-Yugra at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Ryazan are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Izhevsk (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Universitet-Yugra will play against MBA Moscow (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
