Regular Season Round 24: Tegas DR - Elbrus Cherk. 93-86

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Tegas DR (6-22) beat 7th ranked Elbrus Cherk. (10-16) in Dinskoy Rayon 93-86 on Wednesday. The winners were led by guard Klim Muskulis (185-88) who scored that evening 29 points and 5 rebounds and forward Viktor Dyachenko (198-92) supported him with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Tegas DR's coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Even 24 points and 5 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) by swingman Roman Bazhunaishvili (199-90) did not help to save the game for Elbrus Cherk.. Denis Taran added 23 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Tegas DR maintains ninth position with 6-22 record. Loser Elbrus Cherk. keeps the seventh place with 16 games lost. Tegas DR will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Elbrus Cherk. will play against Magnitka-Univ. (#8) in Magnitogorsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
