Regular Season Round 35: Arsenal - Cheboksari 69-71

Ninth-ranked Arsenal (10-23) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Cheboksari (20-11) in Tula. The visitors from Cheboksari managed to secure only two-point victory 71-69. However their fans expected much easier game. Cheboksari had a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for center Anton Lanchakov (205-85) who led the winners and scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Andrey Borisov (188-89) accounted for 13 points for the winning side. Cheboksari's coach Sergei Hudaev used entire bench in such tough game. Point guard Viktor Uskov (183-86) came up with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Dmitriy Babushkin (202-94) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Arsenal in the defeat. Cheboksari have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Cheboksari maintains fourth place with 20-11 record. Arsenal lost third consecutive game. Arsenal at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with 23 games lost. Cheboksari will have a break next round. Arsenal will play again at home against Cheboksari (#4) and hope to win that game.
