No shocking result in a game in Moscow where seventh ranked MBA (9-10) smashed 9th ranked Spartak Noginsk (4-14) 91-70 on Sunday. MBA forced 21 Spartak Noginsk turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Elizaveta Bratchikova (190-96) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Ekaterina Sytnyak (185-82, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 18 points and 6 rebounds. Five MBA players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Evgeniya Korotygina (180-93) responded with 12 points and 4 assists and forward Marina Krivolapova (181-86) scored 14 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted MBA maintains seventh place with 9-10 record. Spartak Noginsk lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. MBA will meet higher ranked Enisey Krasnoyarsk (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Spartak Noginsk will play against Dyn.-GUVD in Novosibirsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
