Rather expected game when 5th ranked Sogdiana-Skif (15-13) lost to second ranked Neftekhimik T. (22-6) in Tobolsk 72-87. Neftekhimik T. outrebounded Sogdiana-Skif 40-24 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Mikhail Kautin (214-86) stepped up and scored 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and forward Denis Smetanin (200-88) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
