There was no surprise in Ekaterinburg where 9th ranked Sparta&K-2 V (9-19) was defeated by sixth ranked UMMC Junior (14-14) 61-54 on Wednesday. UMMC Junior forced 20 Sparta&K-2 V turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Sabina Abaidullina (181-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and forward Olga Lavrova (182-95) who added 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Daria Kurilchuk (179-98) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Sevara Nuritdinova (163-98) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Sparta&K-2 V's coach Sergey Dalinin let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. UMMC Junior maintains sixth position with 14-14 record. Loser Sparta&K-2 V keeps the ninth place with 19 games lost. UMMC Junior will meet at home league's second-placed Samara in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
