Rather expected game when 5th ranked Stroitiel Engels (18-17) were defeated on the road by third ranked Spartak St.Petersburg (22-11) 85-79. Spartak St.Petersburg outrebounded Stroitiel Engels 45-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Andrey Semenov (201-90, college: JMU) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. International power forward Artem Pisarchuk (205-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Spartak St.Petersburg's coach Sergei Grishaev allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Victor Zvarykin (198-86) answered with 25 points and 6 rebounds and forward Nikita Zverev (207-94) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Stroitiel Engels. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Spartak St.Petersburg moved-up to second place, which they share with AltajBasket.
