Regular Season Round 37: UMMC Junior - Samara 52-67

The game in Ekaterinburg was quite interesting. Second ranked Samara (24-5) played at the court of 6th ranked UMMC Junior (14-15). Samara defeated UMMC Junior 67-52 on Saturday. Samara forced 21 UMMC Junior turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kristina Evseytcheva (174-91) who helped to win the game recording 12 points. Swingman Olga Omelchenko (183-91) contributed with 10 points for the winners. Point guard Viktoriia Zavialova (166-98) answered with 13 points and forward Daria Shomodi (184-95) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for UMMC Junior. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Samara keeps a position of league leader. UMMC Junior at the other side keeps the sixth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with MBA-2. Samara will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. UMMC Junior will play again at home against the league's leader Samara (#1) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
