Regular Season Round 22: Atomeromu - Sopron KC 72-69

Sixth-ranked Sopron KC (13-9) was very close to win a game against first ranked Atomeromu (18-4) in Paks on Saturday. Atomeromu managed to secure only three-point victory 72-69. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 17 points after three quarters before their 27-7 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Atomeromu dominated on the defensive end, holding Sopron KC to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Sopron KC 44-26 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Bosnian power forward Edin Bavcic (209-84, agency: Beo Basket) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds and Canadian point guard Hernst Laroche (185-89, college: N.Mexico St., agency: HMS) added 12 points and 7 assists in the effort for Sopron KC.
